Random creepy numbers calling me?

This has been going on for a long while and I don't know who they are from or why
Random numbers call me a lot usually from my country but I also get them from other places
some call at random times but I usually get them when I'm ON my phone I have a iPhone 5c so I attempt to message these numbers on iMessage but it just tells me it failed to send the message so this is starting to creep me out because I just want to use my phone
What can this be? Some of these numbers are also creepy with weird area codes and some just complete unknown…

If you talk to your service provider you can be put onto a no call list and this should be fixed.

We all get these. They are robocalls from 'vendors' looking to sell you something. If you answer the unknown call, then the calling robot knows its a good number and passes it on to call again… And again… And again. Block them and ignore any calls you don't know.

I think this is an extreme over reaction. These 'companies' have gotten your number from a third party (a site you're already signed up to like Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram). They are mainly insurance/scam companies trying to get personal information from you for a number of reasons. The only thing you can do is block them, or get a new number. I'm guessing you're of a younger age if you're getting freaked out.

It sounds like your phone number is on a calling list for telemarketers. The phone calls are the computers automatically dialing the next number on their list while the human operator is still on the line with another call. It goes like this: the computer dials a phone number, the human telemarketer talks with a human who answers the phone. The telemarketer has so many minutes to complete their phone schpiel advertising their company (Hence the "I'm your insurance agent" message). The computer then dials the next phone number on the list to be ringing while the human telemarketer is saying "goodbye" to the person on their current call. Your phone number is on such a list. Because it is a cell phone, your cell phone filters for such numbers allow the phone number to show up and be dialed by their computer but the call does not go through, so you get these weird phone calls on your phone. You need to go to the "Don Not Call" phone registry and register this phone number to be placed on the "Do Not Call" list, so telemarketers must then remove your phone number from their computers. Also, prevent this from happening in the future by never giving your phone number to any website registration, unless it is an absolutely secure website requiring a phone number for a credit card purchase. Whenever you sign up for a website, use a fake "555-" phone number when putting in a telephone number in a "required" field. You can go back to your login information on current websites where you are a frequent visitor and change your phone number in your registration to a fake phone number, because websites regularly trade addresses and phone numbers to telemarketers all the time, that's how telemarketers get your phone number for junk phone calls and junk e-mails and junk mails, your website sign-ups information was given away without your permission. (You can go back and change your physical address to a fake address, too) Go and put your phone number on the "Do Not Call" list, and this should get better: https://www.donotcall.gov/
