Random data spikes on iphone 5?
I have an iphone 5 and the carrier is verizon, I'm not sure how this whole data thing works but I get a text message almost every other week saying I exceeded my data limit or that I've reached 50% of it 75% of it and so on, I turned my cellular data off, deleted some apps, and some pictures and I keep getting a message that says I used 50% of my data allowance for the month, which I don't understand because I only turn my cellular data on when I'm outside, and then switch to strictly Wi-Fi when I'm in the house, is the cellular data still in usage while I'm using Wi-Fi? I also share a data plan with 2 other people who live with me, could it be that they're using too much data which causes my data to randomly spike up? How can I stop the data from randomly increasing?
Yes. It's not necessarily you that's using the data. It could very well be the people that are sharing the plan with you. You may want to sign into your online My Verizon account and look at the activity. You can see who is using the most web and features. You can also call Verizon at 1-800-922-0204 and they can look into the problem for you if you don't have a MYVERIZON account.
- Why is my iPhone syncing random songs? So every once in awhile while I'm listening to music on my phone it starts playing some song that is not on any of the playlists i sync to my phone. I've made sure that I didn't accidentally add those songs to the playlists or tell it to sync another playlist, they just randomly show up. Why is this happening?
- Very random iPhone pop-up message? I was on my phone scrolling through my apps when a pop-up message appeared. It said to turn my Wi-Fi off and press okay for a better mobile experience. It then had a third party web address at the bottom. It was in a little dialogue, like you get when you get a text message. Is it a virus or is someone trying to track me down if I turn on my 3G?
- Random note just appeared on iPhone note pad? When I touched the "+" button to make a new note, a random note appeared and it said, "Holy crud, you never sleep do you"… I checked the date and it said today at 7:03 am. Just when I opened the app. I've been having weird sleeping patterns so I'm on my phone a lot at night when I can't sleep. This just kinda freaked me out… Have any idea what this is?
- Random music on my iphone that i didn't put there? After I downloaded ios 7 and iTunes 11 all of these Barney and 60s country songs showed up on my iPhone. I had never bought or put any of these songs into my iTunes library before. I found and deleted them from my iTunes library (still unsure how they got there) and yet they're still on my phone. I would really like to get them off, but I can't delete them straight from my phone.
