Realistically, how hard is it to install sub woofers?
So I love songs with bass and man do I have tons of them. I really like the feel and sound of it. I use monster beats by Dre because my 20$ sony headphones were not doing it for me. I don't care what anyone says, they are NOT the same as 20$ headphones. I really do notice the difference. So Id like to install just 1 or 2 big subs into my car. I don't currently need any new speakers or tweeters. For now I have a Jeep, but I will probably be changing cars soon so the car is irrelevant. Is it stupid to just install two subs? Is there something wrong with that? I would do it myself if not too hard? I consider myself somewhat handy, I have the ability to fix Cracked LCD screens on iPhones ever since I was 14. I know its nothing like installing subs, but I'm saying I may be able to figure it out or at the very least, pay someone to install them. So my question(s) is
- What are the risk?
- What do I need other than the subs?
- How hard is it really?
- What are the best kinds of subs? (I'm thinking xfinity?)
- Does the brand of car matter?
I'm totally new to this, but I'd like to become a little more familiar with it. I just have no idea where to research stuff like this. Any help is appreciated.
Possible potential risk are fire, smoke, wires heating up, amplifier clipping, amplifier overheating, and subwoofers not performing very well. It's important that you use the correct gauge wires and install everything professionally.
Other than subs, you need the amplifier, the installation kit, the enclosure, the RCA, and the LOC. You only need the LOC if you have a stocked head unit with no RCA pre-outs.
With some knowledge of car audio, it is not hard at all. It may be hard for the novice people since they don't have any knowledge of car audio.
Some good brands of subs are Soundqubed, Digital Designs, Re Audio, Fi Audio, and DC Audio.
It does not matter what type of car you have. You can install a sound system in any type of car.
Show me the money. What equipment are you planing to run in the car.
Risk: more power is more danger if you're a novice. Electrical reinforcement etc
Need: amps, wires, capacitor [depends on amps you buy]
Buy pre-made box will save you the design problem

if you can afford.
best to have someone do it for you.
Its not so difficult just follow the directions, as for equipment you can find all the cables you need sold in bundles just make sure they can handle the power that the amp and subs need I have 2 12 inch kicker cvr's(from '03) which are great but I think the best eargasms come from 2 15 inch subs… I also like to feel the bass and of the many amps and subs I've gone through, I've seen the best results out of rockford fosgate products especially their prime lineup. P.S. Soldering is great but good old electrical tape can do the trick on the wiring.
- Where can i download inuyasha episodes in sub on mobile devices? Veoh has sub but not all the time, and animeonhand.com only has dub, i'm looking for a site that mostly has sub or one that has all sub episodes that work on iphones!
- What is the difference between and iphone 5 hard case, skin, and hard case skin? I'm looking for a nightmare before christmas case I was looking in amazon and i would see skin and hard case skins. - Sony Drive S Selectable Sub-Out? Ok so I play music using the "audio" mode but my friends accidentally messed it up and now the audio doesn't work when I play it from my iPhone and when it does work it doesn't go at the same loud volume on "tuner" mode. How can I fix it to stay at the same volume as my tuner?
- Is it possible for an entering college student to realistically survive without a smartphone? (Ranting WELCOME)? I currently have a smartphone (iPhone SE) that is badly cracked, and I've gotten the opportunity to get a new one, which happens to be, a dumbphone. I'm entering college in a few days, with a super high powered, functions I'll probably never use laptop, could I realistically survive in college without a smartphone? Please give the hard truth REAL details… Feel free to rant!
