Recommendations for a tablet?

I have the iPhone 4s and MacBook pro and my parents have offered to get me a tablet for college so I can physically write notes during class without needing to bring my laptop everywhere or have a bunch of notebooks and pencils. I'm leaning toward getting the new iPad and a stylus because it would be more compatable with my other devices but I'm not sure how practical it would be for writing on. Any recommendations for something that might work better?

The sanding galaxy note 2 its almost out if you don't need it immediately

The new iPad would be great because it has a better screen compared to any Other tablet you can easily type on it and of you have a iPhone and a mac they will work together with iCloud so you could see your notes from your iPad on your mac or iPhone. Also if your buying the iPad for collage apple has a deal where you'll get a student gift card to use

  • Tablet snapshots on the Tablet and iPhone? I'm not very tech-savvy guy, go please forgive me. But does a Samsung note 10.1-the 2013- snapshot consume more memory space than a iPhone 4 in general? Here are the dimensions(again I do not know what I'm doing) Tablet(Note) 10.1" widescreen 1280x800 WXGA TFT LCD 149 pixels per inch (ppi) iPhone 4 640 x 960 pixels, 3.5 inches (~330 ppi)
  • Speakers for my college dorm recommendations? I like to listen to house music, rap, and whatever. Want speakers that produce nice bass as well: D My budget is $60 or less
  • Should I buy a laptop or a tablet? How do pages display on a tablet? I have an iPhone 6s Plus. It almost seems redundant to buy a tablet, but they are more affordable than a laptop. I prefer the way web pages display on a laptop. I have never had a tablet, do they display pages more like a phone or a laptop?
  • Router/ Signal booster recommendations? I'm looking for advice on new gear to improve my Wi-Fi reliability and range. I have 25mb broadband and looking for best stable connection and ideally way too boost the range to 80-100 ft (if that's possible while maintaining decent speed). Also only devices we use are iphone 5, and two laptops with i believe n rated Wi-Fi cards.
