Recovering Data from iPhone?

I accidentally deleted a message thread that was important to me.
Earlier today, I inadvertently deleted an extremely important message thread in iMessage. When I search for certain words in the search screen, that message thread shows as a search result, but if I click on it, the message disappears. This leads to me to believe that the messages aren't gone forever? Hopefully? D: Do you have any clue how I would recover this deleted thread?

If you have backup with iTunes, retrieval from the backup files of iTunes

1.Configure iTunes so that it does not automatically sync with your iPhone when your phone is connected to your computer
2.Connect your iPhone to the computer.
3.Open iTunes
4.Right-click on your device and press 'Restore from backup…'
5.Choose the latest backup and proceed.

By the time the restore is done. But there are things you should note: you should know that data has not been backup would be rewritten.
That sounds it is not the best solution. But you also do it by other recovery tool, it can restore your iphone backup files to your computer avoiding rewriting data.

Yes, if you have a backup on iTunes or iCloud, it is a easy job to recover deleted data from iPhone. But you don't have any backup, you have to find an iPhone data recovery software. They may not be free.

In the future, I highly suggest you back up your iPhone to iCloud, or at least use something like Dropbox or Google Drive. With so many free backup options out there there's no reason not to use one.

  • Transferring/Recovering messages on iPhone? I just traded in my old iPhone for a 5S. I thought that when they transferred your data over, that also included messages. Now, a year or two's worth of messages with family/friends is gone. I was wondering if there's any way to get them back? I don't have iCloud, but did have a backup on my computer. However, I don't want all of the data from my old phone, just the messages. Is there any way to get just the messages back?
