Redirected to App Store when using Grindr?

I recently got the iPhone 5C, and I tried downloading the Grindr app. The first go round, it wouldn't load after the download had completed. Figuring it was crashing (Grindr tends to crash) I figured maybe I couldn't log in then and maybe logging in later would work. A few days later of not being able to log in, I figured the problem was my phone and not the app, so I uninstalled and re-downloaded the app again.

It worked fine.

Now though, when I load the app, after a few moments of it working, I get redirected to the App Store, usually the Candy Crush page or the Spotify page, so I can download it. So I have to hit the iPhone button to take me back to my home page, and re-select the Grindr app. But again, when the app loads, it'll work for a second and then the screen will slide to the left and I'll be back at the App Store.

I don't select anything. I don't touch the banners in the Grindr app. In fact, I simply select my Grindr icon, and keep my fingers off the screen to see if it happens by itself, and it does.

In short: When I use my Grindr app, it'll work momentarily before I get redirected to the App Store. I didn't select the App store. I didn't select the ad banners in Grindr. I'll be chatting with someone, or browsing the thumbnails, and the image will slide to the left and I'm back in the App Store.

What's going on?

Sounds like the app is just not well written and buggy.
