Replacement iphone arrived, apple forgot my broken?
Apple replaced my iPhone 5 with a new one after I realised it was broken out the box. But after they delivered my new one, hey said "we will collect your old one in two days" it's no five days later and still nothing:/ should I wait or could I sell it in time for Christmas? Anyone else had this problem
No, do not sell it. It doesn't belong to you any more. You agreed to give it up to them in exchange for a new phone. Just because they haven't collected it yet, doesn't mean it isn't their property.
If you sell it, they could sue you for its cost. They may even inform the police and you may be prosecuted for theft.
You should wait longer, probably a further five days, then send them a reminder.
If they do not respond to that or do not collect it, send them a letter by recorded delivery or an email saying that they have 28 days to collect the item, or you will deem it abandoned and take it as your own.
28 days after that, you can sell it.
I wouldn't really class that as a 'problem'. You have 2 iPhone 5's now, and it's their fault they havn't collected the old one yet. Leave it till after christmas and then sell it, and if they come back after christmas just say its their own fault for saying '2 days' when it was actually 2 weeks.
- When apple replaces a broken iphone, do you get to keep the old broken one? The back camera on my iPhone 4s broke (just stopped working), so I called Apple and I have an appointment set up to replace the old phone with a brand new one. But, I want to know if when they give me the new phone, will they let me keep the old one? The phone still works fine except for the camera. In fact, it's almost perfect. And obviously I want to sell the old one on ebay to make a boat load.
- Replacement Pending iPhone. Replacement phone or fix? My iphone is being repaired and on the apple service page it says 'iPhone replacement pending' and below it says repair complete… I was wondering if this meant that my phone has been repaired or if Apple are sending a replacement iphone different than the original.
- Replacement for broken screen iPhone? I have an iPhone 5s and when I was walking it slipped out of my hand and the screen got broken badly? Can I replace it? And is it for free? Can you also replace it if it got lost or stolen? And can you upgrade it to another phone if any of these problems happen? Also the big question: If you do have to pay for replacement is it the same amount of money you bought the 5s as for replacement?
- My iphone 5 still hasn't arrived? I ordered it from a third party website almost two weeks ago, over the phone and now after 11 days I'm still waiting for them to confirm my order. What should I do, calling them costs me, 2 dollars a minute
