Replacement radio for a 2006 Subaru Forester?

My boyfriends birthday I s coming up and I want to get him a new radio for his 2006 Subaru Forester. The one he currently has is the original radio and he only has a CD player, doesn't have a tape player (not that that's important) or and AUX plug (is important) so he can't plug his iphone in to listen to the music on his phone. (He has a cigarette lighter, but those converters only bring in static and are annoying to use) I'm having a hard time finding the right radio that will fit his car and have either an AUX plug or a USB plug. CD player would be nice too (and like I said tape player not important). If any one could tell me what would be the right radio or what I would need to do about wiring or the box thing it would need to go in to help fit that would be so helpful. I have no idea what I'm looking for or need.

Look at the radios Walmart sells. They have many models that have all the features ( except tape player ) that you want. The width of a radio is standard. There are some that take up two vertical spaces and some that only take up one. They are called DIN. Anyway the only other things he'll need are the tool to remove the old radio, a connector for his particular make and model car and some wire nuts or crimps. You wire the wires from the radio to the wires on the connector then just plug that connector into the one at the end of the wire harness in the dash, connect the antenna and install the radio. There are many videos on YouTube you can watch to see what I'm describing for yourself.
