Restore your purchases option, did I actually buy something?

I got this neat manga app my iPhone and later when I went to delete some I saw a restore your purchases option. I was never prompted to give a credit card number and the download was free so I kinda freaked out. Does this option just mean that I can restore deleted mangas should I want to read them again?

  • When you buy music from iTunes for your iPhone, are the songs actually? Stored inside your iPhone FOREVER, or when you purchase the song are you really purchasing a LINK to the iTunes shopping mall and then every time you click your song to listen to it you're actually linking up to the iTunes online mall? Do you people understand my question?
  • My iPhone is stuck on the Connect to iTunes Screen. Restore option isn't working So i tried to update my phone through iTunes, but it came up with the 'connect to iTunes' screen, despite the fact it's connected. I've tried changing USB ports, and it's still not working. I've seen people who have had this problem fix it by doing the restore/recovery, but it won't work for me. What do I do? I really don't want to have to wait and take it to a store, but I will if I have to. I'm pretty sure it's too late for apple support.
