Restored iPhone, only some photo stream photos came back?

I restored my iPhone back to factory settings because it was crashing a lot and being weird and the good people at apple told me to do that. Well they did it right in the store for me, and he told me all my photos in my photo stream would come back to phone from iCloud after I signed into my phone with my apple ID, just like my contacts and stuff. Well only 119 of 523 photos that were in my photo stream came back. Any idea why that is? Any way I can still access those photos somehow? They were uploaded to my photo stream before I reset my phone, shouldn't they still be in iCloud somewhere?

Not a huge deal, but I'm annoyed that I was told they would be there and I got a fifth of them back. I don't understand why some would come back and not others. They were all in my photo stream.

Added (1). I just checked that website and there no photos at all. And I know I have some photo streamed right now. I must have just trusted iCloud a little too much. You were very helpful though with that website!

My guess is that all of your photos were not in your icloud backup. You can actually login to your icloud account @ icloud.com using the apple-id associated with your phone and see for yourself. If you have used more than one apple-id on your phone for any reason check all of them. Also, icloud only works if it's enabled on your phone and local iTunes computer that houses your "library." And never ever let the in-store guys restore your phone until your proof positive EVERYTHING is backed up. Despite using iCloud I still always put a local backup on my PC from time to time as well as I've serviced some horrible iCloud failure service calls.

After factory restore iPhone, all your personal data will be erased. But there still ways to get your data back.

If you have back up your photos, you can restore from the backup via iTunes.
To restore information from a backup, use one of the following methods after connecting your iOS device to the computer with which you normally sync:
1. Right-click (or Control-click) the device and choose Restore from Backup
2. If you have a new phone, you can connect to iTunes and it will prompt to restore from your backup

If you have no backup for your data on iPhone, iPhone data recovery software is your last shot! I used Tenorshare iTunes Data Recovery and it worked well. Download it from https://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/iphone-data-recovery.html
It's easy to use. Just a few clicks you can get all your data back.

  • Why have my deleted iphone photos came back? I've just gone through my photo album and I've just realised All the photos that I've deleted over the past few months are back on my phone. I just deleted them all again but how can I make sure they are deleted permanently? It's so frustrating!
  • Where do the photos on my photo stream go? On my iphone 5, only the latest 1, 000 photos are saved on the photo stream that's on my phone. Where do the others go? I had photos from a previous vacation on there, but they ended up not being on there because they weren't in the most recent 1, 000. Are they on icloud? Or is there a place I can see all the photos that were on my photo stream?
  • When you delete photos from your Photo Stream does it delete from your Camera Roll? Hi, I'm running out of storage on my phone so I thought the best thing to do would be to delete some photos, and obviously my photo stream folder uses up tons of space, but when I delete photos from the photo stream do they delete from camera roll too? Or vice versa? Obviously I'm using Apple (iPhone 5C) please answer quickly and thanks x
  • Photos in my photo stream on my iPhone is deleting all by themself? I just checked my photos and about half of the photos in my photo stream has been deleted. I haven't touched it at all it just deleted. The photos in my camera roll are still their is their a way to transfer the photos from my " CAMERA ROLL" not my photo stream to my PC I have a Mac book pro. Just incase if they start deleting too.
