Restoring an iPhone on a contract?
I got my iPhone 5 on a contract back in March, and one day when I tried turning it on it went into this locked dim Apple logo state, and it never leaves it. All I can do is turn it off, and put it in recovery mode, otherwise it stays on a dimmed Apple logo. I googled and the only solution I can find is restoring. I can't restore from a backup because of their stupid system that states they can't restore from backup as my Phone is passlocked. And I'm wondering
If I completely restore my iPhone, does it still have the contract tied too it, or does it remove it? (I want the contract to still be there.)
Your contract is on the SIM card not the phone so yes you can restore the phone
The restore is simply reloading the software/operating system on your phone, and restoring all settings to default. Your contract is NOT tied to the operating system on your phone, and the app store will have a list of your purchases/you probably have them in itunes, so all you have to do is reload your apps
- Will buying an iphone in contract and unlocking cause contract immediate fee? If i buy a iphone for example on att contract and unlock it, will att charge me what's left on the contract or will i just go by like nothing happened and free of contract? I haven't seen this but it makes quite a bit of sense for companies… Not sure if they do however.
- Which is better iphone 5s plan, contract or no contract? I want to get an iphone 5s but i don't know if it's better to get a contract plan or a no contract plan. I would be having to pay every month with a contract and that's annoying. Yet with a contract i wouldn't have to pay that much for the phone would i? If i got the non contract i would get to pay the bill when i want but i would have to pay full price for the phone.
- What's better contract or no contract? The 2 year contract is iPhone 5 for 149.99 one time plus 51 dollars a month. The no contract is iPhone 5 for 579.99 one time or down payment of 99.99 and 20 bucks a month plus 42.50 a month?
- Should I get iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S? No contract or with contract? I don't know what exactly is so much better with the 5 compared to 4S? I'm thinking to get it with no contract because I'll be in Europe over the summer so I'll need another contract over there for a few months so that likely wouldnt work if I got a 2 year contract here in the US is the 5 much more expensive than the 4s? and does the price vary a lot if I buy with/without contract?
