Restoring my new iPhone from backup, no room?
Okay i had an iPhone 5 and the speakers got messed up so i got a new iPhone 5 and I'm trying to restore it from my backup. I have a macbook pro, and i clicked file, device, restore from backup, but it says there's not enough space on my phone, how is that even possible? Its a brand new phone!
Maybe you got an iphone with lower storage?
Iphone 5 comes with 64, 32, 16 gbs maybe the new one is 16gb and the old one was 64.
- Why does restoring my iphone from a backup use up so many gigabytes? I have an iphone 5 and I'm trying to restore my phone from last backup. Unfortunately, the back up is cancelled about 30 minutes in because my hard disk runs out of space. I have 10 gigs left so there should be any problem with that. I went to mobilesync folder and then to the backup folder and there's one folder there. Once you click on that folder there are thousands of files in that folder that have several modified dates on them. Basically can I just delete the old dated files?

I backed up my old iPhone in July and I was wondering if I can plugged my new phone to get that backup. I'm just scared because once you plug your phone in it backs up that phone. & I've been using my new iphone and it already has like apps and stuff on it.
