Risking on Ebay? Is it worth it?
I'm a realtively new seller on ebay. I have only 3 feedbacks and they are all positive so technically i'm at a 100%. Its recenetly occurred to me that the top way to make money on ebay is through auction and starting out selling items by.99 cents on auction which is risky as heck. Some peope do em with iphones and stuff life that. I think i'm gonna try to run the risk of.99cent auction starts but i'm a bit nervous.
What i sell usually is really in trend stuff that has a lot of fakes, but i promise all my material is 100% authentic.
Like i have 2 ralph lauren polo's i wanna sell one girl and one men, G shocks, Phones, Raybands, things around the house.
My question is, is the 99 cent auction really like a okay thing like i don't want to sell my ralph lauren polo and it only goes up to 5 bucks when its valued at 22
I would start it at something like 40% so instead of £22 you'd start with £9 ish but I wouldn't take the risk! Hope this helped x
You can always withdraw it if you don't sell it for a price you didn't like - like saying i'm really sorry i've just noticed a really big hole in it! Obviouslydo not re-list it. Make sure you then go through a cancel form in order to get your ebay fees back as they'll eat into you.
When auctioning on Ebay, know that your going to get less money than it's worth unless it's something super valuable that's in big demand. "Things around the house" aren't going to make you a lot of money.
Personally, I never buy from auctions because the "But It Now" option is so much easier.
But anyway… Selling on Ebay is easy and can be trusted. If you worry about people thinking it's fake, just type in the description that it's authentic.
You can put a reserve price on your auction so start the bidding at one cent if you want to. If the auction doesn't reach your reserve price the item doesn't get sold but you pay the fees (or you could accept what was bid if you want to). There's less risk than simply starting the bidding at 99 cents. Enter reserve price in the search box in the link.
When I sell on ebay I always put on the bottom that this item is for sale locally. When the auction is almost over if I'm not happy with the bids I pull ad, wait a week or so and repost and if anyone asks tell them the buyer backed out.
It's pretty cheap to list at a higher starting price, so do that. Messing around pretending the item is 'damaged' or some other nonsense is a waste of time and could get you banned. It'll certainly put off return buyers.

My question is, is it worh spending $15 for a case if it won't even work after a few charges
