Router keeps dropping internet?
Ok well its kind of weird so i don't know how i can fix this
Cox says that the internet power is good on their end with the modem so its obviously not that and has to be the router (belkin G series), but i have a lot of apple products and ill explain what's going on,
Apple TV connects to internet (Netflix, movie rentals, iTunes match) but not to computer for iTunes Home sharing with computer,
iPhone 4S connects just fine
iPhone 3G says is connected in settings but isn't actually using the Wi-Fi of router (Still uses 3G connection)
macbook pro when first opened connects and works and then after about 15 seconds drops the signal and then takes about 1 min and then connects automatically again.
iPad doesn't connect unless i do a power cycle on the router and then will be fine the rest of the day but if i leave and then come back home it won't reconnect until i power cycle again.
neither iPad nor iPhone 4S connect to iTunes for wireless syncing (feature of iOS 5)
PC Desktop will connect to router, but have no internet access till power cycle
all devices can connect to router just fine but with the lack of internet until after a power cycle
some days i need to power cycle a few times a day
Have you checked Belkin support to see if you have the latest firmware on your router? Firmware can and will cause the issue. Updating firmware might help. If that isn't the issue, it's time for a new router! Netgear, Linksys are better units, in my opinion.
- Wi-Fi keeps dropping on my iPhone 4? Nothing is wrong with my Wi-Fi but I'll constantly have to put my iPhone back on Wi-Fi about every 30 mins or less. Why? (And this is being in the same spot, my house. )
- What's the difference between a cheap router and a good router? Just wanted to know the difference between a cheap router and an expensive router, I know that is a very broad question, I'm just a bit confused on how a router works. Does it increase my Internet speed on multiple devices? I get 50Mb per second, Well at least that's what I pay for. I have a PS3 two iPhones and a tablet, as well as a desktop PC that is wireless. Can anyone recommend an excellent router under $150
- Turn iPhone into as it were an internet router via USB? Is it possible to use your iPhone as if it were to be an internet router, using a computer's internet connection instead of 3G/4G data? I don't have a data plan, and usually I'm in a place without a hotspot nearby.
- Since iOS 6 update, my Verizon iPhone 4 service keeps dropping and loosing signal? Since I updated my iPhone 4 (Verizon) to iOS 6, my cell signal is constantly dropping or searching. Doing so also kills my battery life. Any body have the same problem? What can I do to fix this?
