Router Signal/Internet Issue

Hi, I'm trying to connect my wireless router and I use a USB modem. I have already followed the directions and I can't connect it to the internet. My PS Vita, IPhone and PS3 can pick up the signal and the IP address fine but just can't connect to the internet. Does anyone know how to fix it?

A couple of things you can try:

Reboot your router, power off give it a minute aleast, then power on

if this does work try to connect with a cable to your router - if you can then you know the problem is with your wireless USB that may not be config correctly

If you include make and model of the modem and router as well as the ISP and region you live in, you will narrow down the possibilities.

Generically, you can usually use a web browser to examine router settings by typing IP address of your "default gateway" as the web address. The address is usually http://192.168.1.1 or if that doesn't work try http://192.168.0.1.

  • What's the difference between a cheap router and a good router? Just wanted to know the difference between a cheap router and an expensive router, I know that is a very broad question, I'm just a bit confused on how a router works. Does it increase my Internet speed on multiple devices? I get 50Mb per second, Well at least that's what I pay for. I have a PS3 two iPhones and a tablet, as well as a desktop PC that is wireless. Can anyone recommend an excellent router under $150
  • Router/ Signal booster recommendations? I'm looking for advice on new gear to improve my Wi-Fi reliability and range. I have 25mb broadband and looking for best stable connection and ideally way too boost the range to 80-100 ft (if that's possible while maintaining decent speed). Also only devices we use are iphone 5, and two laptops with i believe n rated Wi-Fi cards.
  • Iphone 3g doesn't get internet signal? At one point the internet just stopped working. When you go to settings and click on WI-FI networks it looks like it wants to search for a network but then it stops and nothing.
  • How to get an iPhone 4s to connect to a signal router? We have the old Vodafone signal router. I recently purchased the iPhone 4s and converted my SIM card from my blackberry to my iPhone. So it has the same number. The signal router has my number connected with it but I still have no signal when inside my house. Any ideas on what I could do? I'm not talking about Wi-Fi, I'm talking about the signal in which you use to send people texts.
