Why is my nephews disabled iphone flashing and ringing? It just randomly started doing this. His "flash" will blink on and off and ringer will go off. It keeps going off eveery 5-10 minutes

Watching Scary Movies on iPhone? Watched The Exorcist on iPhone yesterday in the dark alone. Wasn't scared. Actually laughed at a lot of parts. Does iPhone watching take away the scary experience? Want to watch The Ring but don't want to watch on iPhone if it'll take away the scares.
