Sending photos from iPhotos to external hard drive on Mac using a friends mac. Can my friend see my pictures if i have photo stream on?

So i connected my iPhone to the computer of a friend to send some videos to my external hard drive because my mac is way too outdated, and i just realized that i have Photo Stream activated on my iPhone, does that mean that my friend is going to get all of my photos on his computer?
I remember clicking trust computer and putting my cellphone password. I have pictures of my girlfriend that nobody can see so its a very bad situation. So…
Can anybody know if my friend can see every picture that i take?

I don't fully understand the way all four of these devices are connected…

"Sending photos from iPhotos to external hard drive on Mac using a friends mac."

When you say "sending", do you mean "exporting"? The iPhoto app allows photo files to be extracted in various formats.

Are you talking about two Macs? If you want us to know what you mean, try identifying these two Macs, such as "iMac 2008" or "MacBook Pro 2014".

"Can my friend see my pictures if i have photo stream on?"
Not unless you tell him your Apple ID and password. Like most people under 40, you don't use shift key much, so I'm assuming you mean Apple's Photo Stream service. That's a part of iCloud. It is possible for him to still see the pictures, just not via Photo Stream.

"connected my iPhone to the computer of a friend to send some videos to my external hard drive" An iPhone is not a drive, so it doesn't appear in a Finder window. What is your process of "sending" the video files?

If photo files get saved to any external drive, those files can be seen and opened by anyone using any Mac that has the drive connected and mounted. If you only save video files to the drive, only the video files can be seen and opened by anyone using any Mac that has the drive connected and mounted.

If this does not answer your question, I suggest you ask a new question (because almost no one notices any question after 4 hours).

  • Is the NAS (Network Attached Storage) the best external hard drive option for a home? I have been looking at the WD MyCloud 4Tb version specifically to store my iTunes music library and any videos I may have in the future. Been wondering if via the NAS, one can access their iTunes music in their cars without having to store the music on a local flash storage drive like on their iPhones. Everything can be remotely accessed through their NAS at home.
