Should a young teen get an iphone?
Ok so a lot of my friends have iphones and i'm trying to save up for one! Should a 14 year old have an iphone?

No its a waste of money. It looks a lot more fun then it actually is. Buy a laptop or something more useful. Or just wait and see if your parents will buy you one in a year or two and wait till then.
U deserve better, Get a Lumia or Android. They have better solutions and far better than IPhone.
There's no problem with a teen having an iPhone. You'll get to know technology closer. But learn advanced stuff from it, don't just use it for entertainment and games
Teenagers shouldn't have smartphones at all in my opinion… Too much money spent for them to just break it like they always do.
Ask your parents first
I think its good too learn about the technology, plus it gives them a way to text you or call parents anytime of the day. I know some that don't want their kids to have an phone yet so they get an ipad so they can still use that for texting friends (which is free with imessage so no plan needed) or learning about it, where you can supervise that way. (Go with something like iphone 4 which is free on a 2 year contract, as most likely it won't be taken good care of)
An iPhone or any smartphone isn't something that anybody SHOULD have. It's a purely discretionary buy.
