Should i buy a bad esn iphone and use it with gsm carrier?

I wanna buy myself an iphone 4s from ebay. I live in bosnia and we only have GSM carriers. I noticed that verizon or sprint "bad esn" iphones are much cheaper so, should i buy that phone and unlock it to my network or should i gather more money and buy myself a new factory unlocked one?

Don't be ridiculous. Bad ESN = Can't be activated.

Ok… Wireless 101 education is needed here…

1) GSM (ATT and Tmobile in the USA and planet Earth) takes SIM cards… CDMA (Verizon and Sprint in the USA) don't use SIM card and have no SIM slot… So your answer is NO!

2) GSM and CDMA technology is Oil and Water… It will NEVER mix… This is why you can't put a ATT Iphone on Verizon/Sprint or a Verizon Iphone on ATT or Sprint Iphone on ATT… Is not godly possible! There's no sim slot in the CDMA iphone! So your answer is NO!

3) BAD ESN is a CDMA ONLY term… Means the CDMA wireless carrier (Verizon or Sprint) has locked the ESN # to the original owners account because he/she didn't pay a monthly bill or broken contract or the phone is reported lost and stolen or still has contracual obligations with the carrier… A bad ESN can NEVER be flashed to a another CDMA carrier on Earth… So your answer is NO!

So your answer is NO!
