It will run day to day apps just fine. However if you want to play graphically intensive games, it will start to struggle a bit as the device is now three years old. So you could end up seeing things like frame rate drops for example, while playing the most advanced games. But otherwise most standard games will still play fine.
I would highly suggest that you look for a 32GB or 64GB version of this phone. With only 16GB, you may quickly find yourself running out of room if you like to take a lot of pictures, or record videos. 16GB really is quite limited for the amount of apps, or videos you may end up putting on your phone. Most folks who have the 16GB model, tend to almost always wish that they had bought the larger storage options of the iPhone SE.
- Why does every little kid have an iPhone these days? It gets pretty annoying. I don't even have a phone yet, and I'm 15. These kids are spoiled. Anyone agree?

My friends have iphone 5's and are really proud of it, so proud they laugh at me (sarcastically) for not having an iphone. And every high school student has one. They're so common they make the galaxy s3 look like a regular phone. i'm not trolling
