Should i buy and how much does IPhone 3GS cost today?

Ok, i bought this Alcatel OT-991 and i really don't like it at all. Next year when i finish my studies i'll buy new phone and i planed on buying a tablet as well (in one of my questions i asked to suggest me a good tablet) so i don't really need some cool phone as Samsung S4 is or IPhone 5 i just need some regular not so fascinating phone as IPhone 3GS is… It has all what i need… All more complicated functions i'll do on my tablet. Anyway, my question is how much does IPhone 3GS cost now in 2013?

4 is free on a 2 year contract, why not go that route?

I think about £100 or a little more. I bought a second hand one about a year ago and it was just over £100 i think.

$119 at gamestop

it might have helped if you specified why you didn't like it. That way, if some other phone has the same problems, people will know to warn you.

Phones aren't really evaluated by whether they're cool or not, only whether they do what you want and cost no more than you'd like to pay. Based on your question, it's possible you may not need any iPhone, or even any smartphone. Saying what you don't need isn't the same as specifying what you do need. You ask whether the iPhone 3GS does what you need - but never say what that is.

Apple stopped making them last Autumn.AT&T, it's only US carrier, doesn't feature them on its site, so there's no upgrade or new subscription discount for getting one. Apple doesn't have the 3GS on its site either. They have unlocked iPhone 3GS on Bestbuy for about $300; or you'd have to buy one second hand where the price (and condition) will vary.

Getting an iPhone 3GS isn't a smart idea. Actually looking at how the phone works (which is what really matters) you'd see that the 3GS won't support iOS 7.It. Not that the s4 or iPhone 5 are cooler than you need, but that they will likely handle what you want out of a smartphone for longer.

If you are hot for a smartphone, I would delay your purchase until the end of October by which time a new iPhone will be released, reducing prices on existing phones.
