Should I buy the gold or space grey iphone 6 plus?

Since you seem to ask my personal opinion, it's what you're gonna get; and my answer is neither. The space grey looks nice from the back, but the fact that the front panel is all black glass makes for a jarring contrast (If they could have made it all black - or all grey - that would have been awesome).

I was initially under the impression that the gold was actually nice, stylish and generally well done from the release photos, but in the videos of my Youtube reviewers the gold is way too stark, tacky and actually sometimes looks a tiny bit orange, especially next to the gold iPhone 5S. (Maybe that's due to their lighting, but I don't know. It comes across in a lot of still images on the internet as well.)

That leaves the silver. Nothing wrong with that, imo. It goes well with the white front panel too. However, if you're going to have a 6 Plus, you're going to *have* to buy a case (yes, because of the bending thing, and also you are at a great risk of dropping it because of the size) so you won't see the actual colour of your phone much anyway.

A few caveats: I'm a total Android head, which means I'm essentially anti-Apple. On the other hand, I appreciate me some good design, and wish more of 'my' manufacturers would match up to Apple's. The inside should match the outside, right… So this is as objective as I'm going to get.
