Should I buy the iPhone 4S or wait for the iPhone 5?

My current phone is reaching the end of it's life, so I plan on getting an iPhone in the near future. Should just get the iPhone 4S now or wait to get the iPhone 5?

The iPhone 4S is the 5th generation iPhone (iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S).

As much as people want a phone branded as the iPhone 5, you may find that the 6th generation iPhone is purely called the iPhone 6, the new iPhone (hey, they did this with the iPad 3, right?).

But if you're asking if you should get the next generation iPhone.

This will probably influence your decision more than anyone here. All we can do is suggest.

Speaking of, if it were me, I have a 4S, my wife has a 4… She will probably get my 4S, we will probably sell the 4, and I will get whatever the Apple furnaces create.

If you've got tech savvy family, this could be the better option for you.

Interesting Question, no-one actually knows when the iPhone 5 will come out, there are rumors of it coming out in October this year but if you want a phone then I'd say go for the iPhone 4s for now, it's actually great, if you think of buying a new phone i.e. Not an Apple product then I'd advise you to take a look at at the Samsung Galaxy S3(to be released in May 2012), HTC One X(released) and the LG 4x(to be released in June 2012), which are as of right now at the top of the Android market

Just wait for the iPhone 5- If you buy the iPhone 4s and the 5 comes out, then you will want to 5.

It depends where you live? If you live in the states or Korea, Japan or any country when the iphone comes out on time… Just wait for the iphone 5 because it should come on Nov 2012 at the latest and its going to be crazy.

but if you live in the Philippines or another country where it is like 3 months unless you want to spend a ton of money… You can get the iphone 4s now but make sure "buy it now"! Not next month. If you wait till June just wait for iphone 5.

because you would still have at least 8 months of enjoying your iphone 4s.

I think you should buy Iphone 4S and then change it to Iphone 5.

I have seen leaks of some stuff they are doing with the iphone 5. Like a retina scan to unlock your phone that is crazy. Then the camera is going start having regular digital camera features. Like night vision, panorama mode, red eye removal, etc… They are suppose to unlock GPS on it. They are going all out with the Iphone 5 wait for it.

You should wait for a decade more for iPhone 11. I've heard they're making it invisible.

Don't think, just get an iPhone 4s. You can sell it and get a new one when they release the newer one.

This question has already been asked a score of times. Actually no one (but Apple's executives) knows when the 5 will come out. Not even what it will look like. So if you want it badly, just take the 4S.
