Should i buy the new iPhone 5 now, or wait for my contract to expire?

I have an iPhone 3GS and my contract expires in March. I'm thinking of adding a new line and getting the iPhone 5 on that, and then cancel my iPhone 3GS's line in March. My carrier is AT&T. How much would it cost to have the additional line on my account for the next 5 months? I'm also INCREDIBLY impatient if thats a factor haha.

I think you can get it now for the full upgrade discount. I'm with AT&T and my contract doesn't end until Feb 2013, but as of July I was eligible for a full upgrade so I just upgraded my line to the iPhone 5 when it became available for preorder.
