Should I check on my daughters iphone?
She's 14 going to be 15 on November 2nd. I want to know if I should know who she's texting and what she's talking about. Should I give her some breathing space and let her keep her conversations private?
If you were in here position it would suck to have your phone checked.Id give it some time ask her if she's keeping her conversations clean. If she mummbles and is scared or looks like she is hiding something take a look.
Depends who she is. If she is the type of girl who fantasizes over having a boyfriend all of the time in her group of girls, than, maybe yes. If she is the type of girl who does really well in school, doesn't worry about being the best, and doesn't worry about having a boyfriend and being the center of attention, than she has a great personality type and I wouldn't worry as much to check on her phone because those kinds of people you can usually trust more than snobby girls.
Checking your child's phone can sometimes be a lifesaver in matter of cyberbullying and or friends with bad influence.

You are kidding right? My 16y/o knows her phone, text, tablet are going to be checked. We don't really do it much any more but she doesn't know.
I don't understand why parents give phones to their young kids, and then spend their time worrying about who the kid is talking to or texting. If you're going to worry about it, why not just NOT give them a phone at a young age, and save yourself some future worry? Where is it written that a 14-year-old HAS to have their own phone?
