Should i close apps on my iphone when not using them?
Many apps like to phone home, unless closed
Yes, not closing them will drain battery faster, and make your phone slower
Only if you're not going to use it for a long time, otherwise, you'll just drain the battery faster. It takes more power to launch the app than to just let it sit idling. The iPhone has gotten smarter. When you're not using the app, it goes into low power mode to conserve power.
On older iPhones, the more apps you have on, the slower the apps.
Good idea as they use up electricity when they are operating even though you're not actively using them. In fact, there are some apps that use up electricity even when they are not on. They run in the so-called "background" of your OS.
There's an function on the Android OS for finding out which of your apps are the big power drainers. If you're having battery longevity issues, go to Settings/Device care/Battery to find your power burners if any.
Yes, it's a good idea and once you get into the habit, you won't even think about it. All apps take up storage when open, and can affect performance, and some use power or location services when idle. I recently left my YouTube app open all night and my battery was almost drained in the morning. Even in the background, it was playing videos all night (I had sound turned off).
Yes it will protect all the thing tied to the apps
Doesn't really make a difference.
Here's an idea… Try it both ways after a full charge, note the time, and see how the phone did with apps closed and apps running on the background after 8, 12 and 16 hours. Then YOU get to decide which way works best for YOU.
Sure, you need to do so in order to save your battery and not to lose the charge so fast
Yes, do such a thing to save your battery power, just like leaving tabs open on a Computer, it'll basically do the same for your Phone. Unless you need them activated for Night, I'd suggest turning Airplane mode Off while you're not using them, it'll possibly save some battery if you're already wasting too much.
- Why does the apps in iPhone take up data without and with using them? Like I used twitter for like 20 minutes two nights ago and it went up to 80 MB and like the original MB is like 30
- Whenever I double-tap on the home button on my iphone, it doesn't let me close apps? Usually you just double-tap the home button, the app windows come up, and you can swipe them up to close them, right? I'm not sure what happened but nothing happens when I do this now. Also I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but imessage is kind of screwed up too, because whenever I try to type something, the text box covers up the latest text. So if you know what's going on, please tell me what I need to do to fix this, Thanks!
- My iphone screen is very dark, but if I look very close, I see the apps slightly? My iphone screen is very dark but I still see the buttons slightly, but I have to look very closely in order to. It is definitely not the brightness, because the brightness is set to 100% and its way too dark anyway. I tried restoring my phone and turning it on and off, but nothing is working. Please help. What do I do? I literally threw it out of anger and its fixed.
- Just got my first iPhone, how do I close apps to save battery? I have always had android phones and last had the htc evo. I always had an app/widget called task killer that I would tap and it would close all my running apps. Today I got my first iPhone 4 and see there are no such apps however I know I have a ton of things running, how can I close them out/save battery?
