Should i get a iphone 5s or 5c for my preteen?
My son is twelve years old and i don't know if to get him the iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C for his birthday in February
Can you Please tell me which one to get for him

The iPhone5S… I understand the iPhone 5C is cheaper and he's not even a teen yet, but if he is responsible enough for you to want to get him a phone, the 5S is the better buy…
(And BTW, if someone says a 12 year old shouldn't have a phone, don't listen… This is the 21st century, they make tablets for 2 year olds…)

I would get him the 5c, They are cheaper, more colors etc. Also they are more durable the plastic is tough and being a 12 year old its almost guaranteed he'll drop it a few times. Apple isn't known for their shatter proof glass. Which ever one you decide to get make sure to get a good case for it. Very cheap on amazon, it will be worth the 10-15 bucks replacing a broken iphone is a lot more expensive than getting a cheap case that will protect it.
