Should i get a new router? (more)?
I live in an apartment, currently i have an ipod touch, 2 iphones, 1 tablet, 2 laptops all wirelessly connected to a $20 G router bought in 2008.
for the past few months, i have noticed that many devices would randomly disconnect from the Wi-Fi, it usually takes a few minutes to reconnect, but it is very annoying.
i'm resetting the router, i have tried changing channels, still the same problem.
should i buy a new router? I'm looking at a 25$ N router.
Added (1). this modem is separate from the router
also, i have the cheapest internet cable plan; i download at 360kbps
I had the same problem w/ an older G router, constantly disconnecting and having to reset the modem and router all the time. I recently upgraded both the modem to a DOCSIS 3.0 and router to wireless N and it's made a huge difference.
I have an 802.11 ac router and couldn't be happier… Although mine cost over $200 but you get what you pay for.
If you can find an N300 (dual antenna) router, the dual antenna diversity may improve coverage even with N150 or G specification devices.
Is the existing router also a modem, or is the modem separate?
- Will buying more iCloud space let me download more apps, songs, and photos? So i have deleted apps that i don't really need and deleted songs i don't listen to but still there's not enough space to even take a photo, A pop up comes up that says to manage my icloud storage. Would purchasing more icloud storage allow me to download more apps and have more songs and pictures on my iPhone 4 from sprint? It is an 8gb i think.
- What should I do should I get a new phone or not be embarrassed? And how do I convince my parents to get me a new phone? I have an iPhone 4 and it is 2017. The iPhone 7 already came out and I jane a 4. I feel really embarrassed when I take out my phone that I don't take it out because my friends have the iPhone 6 and 7.
- What's the difference between a cheap router and a good router? Just wanted to know the difference between a cheap router and an expensive router, I know that is a very broad question, I'm just a bit confused on how a router works. Does it increase my Internet speed on multiple devices? I get 50Mb per second, Well at least that's what I pay for. I have a PS3 two iPhones and a tablet, as well as a desktop PC that is wireless. Can anyone recommend an excellent router under $150
- More you use an app the more space it takes up on iPhones and iPads? I have an iPad and new iPhone 5 that I just got. I have rhapsody on both the same app and amount of music basically (iPad as seven more songs on app) but on the iPad the rhapsody app takes up 2.8 GB and the iPhone takes up 1.8GB. Why is that? The more use the app the more space it takes up even if you're not adding new content?
