Should I get the Otterbox Defender series case for my iPhone 4?

I really like the look of the defender series case, and I like all of the security it provides. So the big question: should I get it? Is it extremely bulky? Does the plastic casing part scratch the phone? Why do you like and dislike?

It is a really nice case but if you are someone who likes to put their phone in your pocket, I wouldn't. I ended getting rid of the case because I actually tore the charger protector cover from placing it in my pocket regularly. As for the plastic, yes, it does easily, but it does not scratch the phone itself. I get annoyed with the plastic because it collected dust easily, even with it on the dust still got under the screen.

I have a defender on my 4S and I wouldn't buy it again. Yes it is bulky. With the silicone it's difficult to easily take in and out of your pocket. The silicone also starts loosing its shape after a couple of months and doesn't fit as snug around the plastic part of the case so it doesn't look nearly as nice. If you use the clip the silicone around where the clip grips the phone wears out and tears. My friend has one too and he has the same issues. In my opinion its not worth the money.
