Should I remove my sim card before or after I factory reset my my iphone 6s plus?
Want to factory reset (I know how to) my unlocked iphone 6s plus for troubleshooting purposes and start from scratch as a new device or maybe I ll sell it if i change my mind.
Anyways my question is do i take out the sim card before or after i factory reset. I don't care if factory resetting with the sim will cause any changes to it since i have backed up whatever i need including contacts.
SIM cards are not memory cards so it doesn't matter if it is in the phone or not as restoring (factory resetting) the phone has 0 effect on it. Of course if you plan to sell it you take the SIM out at some point.
No need to take the sim out. The phone reset has no effect on the sim.
It has to stay in the device to do the reset
