Should I tell my grandma that I don't want or like any of my gifts?

I got a snickers bar, I Giants World Series T-Shirt, a huge expensive Cutting Board, An Anatomy coloring book for class.

All I wanted was an IPad 3 and 27" Inch Mac Pro. And IPhone 5.

Not hard. And she has MONEY.

I can't stand cheap *** people. None of this crap I want.

Cutting board was over $150 bucks. This things is 40 pounds of wood.

But I wanted 40 pounds of computer parts.

Umm, just wait till she's dead and do as you please with your share of the inheritance.

You need to get your priorities straight. Christmas isn't about what gifts you get, but the thought and being with your loved ones. Yes, we obviously hint at what we would like to get but be happy you are getting anything.

Oh dear. Isn't life sad? At least you are not one of the millions starving to death.

I think you're trolling.

IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS! Be grateful, some people didn't get anything!

Disappointment is understandable, but not when you asking for 3 very high priced items. Whether she has money or not, be grateful for the things that you did get. Somebody is not cheap just because you did not get exactly what you wanted. Be thankful to your grandmother for being a part of your life and getting you gifts, that alone should be all you need. Christmas is not about gifts. It is about Jesus, and Jesus taught that material possessions are worthless and do not last. Focus on things that last, like love. Show love to your grandma today!

Don't say you didn't like her gifts cos it'll hurt her feelings, act as if you care. (even if you don't)

I think you are a troll but if not I'm very glad that you are not my grand child. With an attitude like you have you are fortunate to have received even the snickers bar.

Christmas isn't about what YOU want. It's about being with family and JESUS being born. You are a selfish brat. Be happy she even got you ANYTHING.

No, you must be polite.

Chances are the things you wanted will be outdated in 10 yrs, while the things you rec'd, except for the Snickers Bar, will not be outdated. Also, she might be telling you to value & study hard for biology & anatomy classes because that is one of the things we realize as we get older & face all these medical problems & have to face doctors in our ignorance. I recommend thanking her, eating the Snickers Bar, & packing away the others until you decide to use them, or in the case of the T-shirt, selling as a collector's item. With them packed away, you don't have to look at them for the time being, since they irritate you so much.

With close relatives, unfortunately, it's important to keep these things while the relatives are still alive. After that, you can do as you please. Meanwhile, try to look at ways that you do like the grandmother & cherish her in her ways while she is still alive. I would love to go back to talk to both of my grandmothers, who have been dead now for over 40 years.

I once rec'd a pair of electric scissors designed for people with arthritis, especially for crafts. My mother strongly believed that I took after an aunt who had arthritis. I do not have arthritis. Furthermore, I was always irritated by hearing that I was just like that aunt, so of course, I was irritated by the gift. Also, I don't do any crafts. The scissors are still packed away. Never know when I might get arthritis & want to take up crafts. LOL. Maybe it's time to give them to Goodwill now that my mother has passed on, almost 10 years ago.

In case you haven't guessed, I'm probably close to your grandmother's age & do not have many of the older relatives who are still alive. Enjoy them while you can. An aside is that I would probably enjoy the IPad & IPhone, too, but talking to all of my older relatives would be something I would enjoy far more.
