Sims Freeplay Save Data Disaster?

Until a few months ago, I owned an iPod 4th generation which was fully and completely backed up to the cloud along with game center. This was before IOS7. I was then given an IPad Mini the latest model (not sure the name or generation) I guess since it's the first mini Apple has made it's the first gen. I restored my iPad to factory settings, and gave it away. I then set up my new IPad Mini and logged into my usual Apple ITunes account and tried to restore my brand new IPad from my old IPod. I'm not sure quite why, but there was an error message that appeared explaining that the IPad wouldn't be able to fully restore everything because the IPad was newer or just the fact that it has different apps, wallpapers, and other things. I don't quite remember. Not all of my apps installed back, or my pictures however I could easily look up my old apps in the app store and download them again off of the cloud as well as music. I downloaded freeplay, however when given the option to back up save data off of the cloud or begin a new game an error occurred. It gives you the option to backup by logging in to Facebook or through game center. I don't have a Facebook so I decided to do it through the game center however when pushing the option it opened game center, where I was already logged In. I clicked on the 'games' option on the screen and from there I didn't know what to do. I logged out of game center, deleted the app however when it gives you the option to keep the app in game center or something like that I chose yes, I tried this over and over again as well as shutting down the entire device, non of which worked, I searched the problem on the internet where I realized multiple people had the same exact issue using expressions like "never ending circle", I still couldn't find a solution and decided to risk it and delete the app again and not save it on game center thinking there was no solution and it might just work. I was wrong and I had to start a new game which I never continued de to the fact that I had been so ahead in the game already it felt pointless to start again. I later purchased a new phone, a newer model IPhone which I restored completely and fully to my old I-pod this time I had my old pictures, wallpapers everything it never occurred to me until now that I can download freeplay and finally restore my old freeplay game! However i'm back to the never ending circle! It sucks if any one has a tip or suggestion or any advice or has encountered the same problem I beg you please just help any suggestion is worth trying, I remember after I had given up and risked it all I had found a solution on the internet after it was too late. However I can't even find that similar problem anywhere now, and I forgo what it was!
