Skateboard Photography Tips and Advice?

Hi, I'm starting to do skateboarding photography and I've been recording clips of my friends skating and doing tricks. I was wondering if there's any other photographers out there that could give me tips and maybe some advice on recording other people skate because recording others seems to be one of the most interesting activities I like to do. And I would like to, someday possibly become a professional photographer for skateboarding filming. So any tips or ideas you can give me for recording? Accessories, camera types, angles. Etc.

If it matters, my camera is an IPhone 5s and the quality of the video is great to me as a beginner. I do plan on getting a fisheye attachment for the phone aswell.

I use a JVC Full HD video camera with a 40x optical zoom. It cost me less than $200 and it does just fine.

The issue you will encounter is when you want to attach the iPhone to the board itself to get amazing POV shots. 1) attaching it with the lens facing in the line of motion will be a huge challenge and 2) you are risking the possible destruction of your iPhone. Sure you might be able to have it repaired, but what if that takes from four days to a couple of weeks? How will you keep in touch with your friends without a phone?

Rethink this with an actual video camera in mind. The video camera has a real optical zoom lens and has a standard ISO 1/4-20 mounting socket.
