Slow downloading speed on IPhone?
I just did a speed test on my home Wi-Fi and the results showed 35 Mbps but when I download movies on my 5s iOS 8, it shows 188kbps. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Yes… Your downloading from a website and they set their own limits.
The reason why so low is because they don't have enough money to run a larger bandwidth so they keep it low so many users can connect at the same time.
If they gave you 2mbps to download that movie then every user would have to get 2mbps to download that movie when they only have a 50mbps upload rate. That would only put 25 users on their site at once… Which is bad for business.
When you download from sites your uploading from them.
Just like how you have a Download speed and upload speed.
If you created a website from your ISP people would download from your upload speed…

- Why is my Wi-Fi speed so slow? I have a HP Pavilion TS 11 Notebook 11-e000sa running Windows 8.1, the network adapters are a Realtek PCIe Family Controller (ethernet) and Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn (Wi-Fi) I have a fibre optic connection, and my PS3 and iPhone are getting wireless speeds well over 30MB/s without any issues, however my laptop struggles to get 2MB/s. All the drivers are up-to-date, but there must be something set wrong. Any help on this would be appreciated!
