Slow YouTube videos on iPhone?

So I've been trying to watch some YouTube videos on my iPhone but through the YT app and m.youtube the videos seem to take forever to load and sometimes won't load, this happens on both Wi-Fi and Cellular despite having 8mbps download and 0.7mbps upload on Wi-Fi and 15mbps download and 2.7mbps upload on Cellular. I don't know if there's any cache that can be emptied in the iPhone at all or how to access it if there's, any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mine work fine on both youtube site and app, try resetting your network settings,
Settings> General> Reset> Reset Network settings( note after doing this your phone will restart and if you have a Wi-Fi connection with a passcode you will have to re enter it on your phone)

if this doesn't work make a back up through Icloud or itunes which ever you prefer? And reset it

  • YouTube is painfully slow on iPhone 4S, what can I do? I watch YouTube videos on the YouTube app often on my brand new iPhone 4S. Once I upgraded from a 3GS to my 4s, I thought YouTube and Internet would become faster. Internet speed is the same, but YouTube is much much much slower! Videos take forever to begin, and buffer at least 5 times throughout the video, and each buffer takes up to a minute or two. It's getting very annoying, what can I do?

  • Why is youtube so slow on iphone 5? So i'm using the youtube app over my Wi-Fi on my iphone 5. I get 10 megabites download consistantly, i just checked with speedtest.net. If i'm trying to watch a 2 minute youtube video, it would take around 4-5 minutes of buffering to watch it! Any fixes or any ideas why this is happening?
