Smartphone Help: iPhone 4s SIM Card?
I have an iPhone 4s. It has never given me problems, but for the past two weeks it keeps alerting me "SIM FAILURE" and on the top left side where the bar signals and provider are displayed, there's a "SIM FAILURE" instead. I have tried restarting the phone, removing the SIM card and placing back in, this usually works fine for about 2-3 days and then the same problem occurs. Do I need to replace the SIM card? What are the price ranges for this? I'm looking to upgrade in December to a new phone, and not sure if worth spending $$$ on a SIM card.
Any suggestions?
This is not a true post. The iPhone 4s does not have a SIM such as you describe.
- What happens if I put the SIM card of a non smartphone into and iPhone? I use AT&T and I have an HTC but it isn't a smart phone. So if I cut the SIM card into a nano SIM card, which is used for iPhones, and put it in an iPhone 4S, will the phone work? Also I do not use data on my phone, only texting and calling and I'm not telling the AT&T people because they would make me get an iPhone which I can't do until my contract ends next year or ill have to pay 300 dollars.
- Putting smartphone sim card into iphone 4? I have an LG eclypse right now (talk and text plan) and its dying. if i buy an iphone 4 that is locked to my current carrier (virgin mobile), will the SIM card work in the iphone, without me having to buy a data plan? my sim card is standard sized but apparently you can just cut the extra plastic off around the sides and itll work in the iphone.
- Changing from normal sim card to iPhone 4 sim card? I'm an AT&T customer with a smart phone. I'm wanting to buy an iPhone 4 but I know they take smaller sim cards than normal phones. If I buy an iPhone from an individual, can I take it to AT&T and have them give me a smaller sim card & transfer my information? Would I have to pay extra for it? Is it even possible?
- Can you switch the iPhone 4 SIM card with an iPhone 4S SIM card? My mom has an iPhone 4S for sprint and I have an iPhone 4 for AT&T. Is it possible to switch SIM cards?
