SMS/imessage vs data? Need clarification?
I have an iPhone 5s and this question may seem a bit stupid to you, but I need some clarification. I don't have a data plan so I message with iMessage when I have Wi-Fi. But I also have unlimited texting which I didn't think mattered unless you had a data plan. So if I turn on SMS, can I text when not connected to Wi-Fi and it will just cost me the unlimited texting money or is it separate and I will have to pay more? Also, I know you can't message anyone without an iOS device when using plain iMessage, but if I use SMS, can I text any other phone that's not IOS and it will not cost me anything other than the unlimited texting?
You can text with regular message too to other phone. It will not cost you more money. You will only have to pay for your unlimited message plan.
If you do regular texting via SMS, it will count towards your unlimited texting money.
If you use SMS, you can text any phone and it will again count towards your unlimited texting money.
iMessage requires data connection through 3G/4G or Wi-Fi. Ensure your cellular data is off on your iPhone since you do not have a data plan. If you start using cellular data your telco will start billing you.
Texting does not use data. If you have unlimited texting, you can text anyone without worry on any network.
- NEW TO IPHONE 5 NEED TO JAILBREAK TO CHANGE SMS BUBBLE COLORS Alright so I have no idea what I'm doing with iPhones I'm very new to it but I really want to change my sms bubble colors and everywhere I have read it tells me to jailbreak my phone and download cydia. Can someone please help me step by step jailbreak this phone and than teach me how to download cydia and how to change it from there! I know it's a lot to ask but I would really appreciate it!

Does anyone know how to retrieve deleted sms's from an iphone 4, last night i got so drunk and deleted some messages off my phone because i was arguing with my partner but now he won't talk to me and i can't even remember what i said due to the alcohol i need to get these sms's from last night back to try and patch things up any ideas!

- IMessage and FaceTime on iPhone sending not one but up to 15 activation SMS? Why does my iPhone send so many SMS to activate iMessage it should on send one or 2 and then should stay activated as I have never turn iMessage on and off again. I got a new plan and now I get billed for international SMS it is no longer included. $0.45 each SMS adds up quick as my plan is already $120 a month just for the included stuff.
