Sms text not working on tmobile unlocked iphone?

I have a i phone 4s unlocked to work on tmobile network but my text messaging will not work i can't send a text but i can receive everything else on the phone is fine (calling and internet). Any help or suggestion would be great.

Tap Cellular Data Network.
Configure the internet settings under the Cellular Data section:
APN: epc.tmobile.com
Note: For some iPhone unlocks you may need to use wap.voicestream.com.
Username: <Leave Blank>
Password: <Leave Blank>
Configure the picture message settings under the MMS section:
APN: epc.tmobile.com
Username: <Leave Blank>
Password: <Leave Blank>
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS Max Message Size: 1048576
MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/...uaprof.rdf
Enter the following information under the Internet Tethering section:
APN: pcweb.tmobile.com
Username: <Leave Blank>
Password: <Leave Blank>
Press the Home button to save the APN and exit to the main screen.
Verify MMS is enabled:
Tap Settings.
Tap Messages.
Set MMS Messaging to On.
For iOS5 and lower, Tap MMS first.
Turn the device off and back on.
Test the connection by opening the Safari web browser and sending a picture message.

Others have reported similar problems as well.

Looking at T-Mobile's explanation, it might be related to the Short Message Service Center (SMSC) number being programmed correctly in your phone.

You may need to contact them in order to have that number verified. Certain model phones allow the end user to modify those settings as described in the link below.

If you feel that you need to confirm your data or APN settings, go to the link below, unlockit.co.nz (last link below), using the Safari browser on your iPhone to automatically download the desired APN.

You won't need to access any special menus, just follow the instructions in your browser and you're done.

I was just wondering if the same thing would happen if it wasn't factory unlocked? So if I get it unlocked everytime it will shut off it will reset? That is what i'm worried about.
  • ON IPHONE, How do i send a text a email address as a SMS and not MMS? On my basic phone, I can text a email address without it being MMS. Now on my iPhone, it only can text email addresses using MMS. This requires data. Does apple IPHONES not know how to text a email address? I don't want to use data to text email address? I might as well just use email.
  • Is MMS messaging free with unlimited SMS text messaging with a T-Mobile iPhone? I have unlimited texting(SMS) and I just recently turned on my picture text messages (MMS) settings for my iPhone. I was wondering if I have to pay for MMS for every incoming or outcoming pic, or does it count as unlimited texting too? I pay for my internet too, if that helps with anything: P
