Smurf Village on Ipod or Iphone?

I Just started playing this game and when I got bored I hot the home button. An hour later I wanted to play again but it was all gone! Was I meant to save it, how can I?

What do you mean with gone? If you mean you lost your progress you can always restore your village back as the game has a backup file inside check out this

also if you are using iPod 1 I think the smurf game is not compatible with your device so is worth to check the compatibility
