One scammed me and used the money on my iTunes card?
So I play this app on the iPhone and I bought an iTunes card and we were supposed to exchange an account for the card but he took the card number and he didn't give me the account. I know that I should have known better but what should I do now? What can I do about it?
Chuck it up to a life experience. If you did it through the app (and not somewhere like eBay), you might be out of luck.
However, all hope is not lost. You probably know the guy's username. You might be able to complain to the app's creator and/or Apple about him stealing your gift card information. The worst that could happen is that they deactivate his account; and the best would be that you get your gift card.
You can't really do anything but take it as a learning experience. You should have waited to get the account before you gave him the card number. Your only recourse would be to sue him in small claims court, but to do so you need his real name and his home address and it will cost you at least $50 to file a suit, which is probably more than you lost in the transaction
