Some water came onto iphone, now speakers don't work?
If i play music or want to get text tone i can't hear anything unless i use the headphones then it works. But by it self it does not work although i can record a voice memo and then hear it back. BUT why can I not hear music or hear the text tone?
There are a lot of things that could have gone wrong. Normally, I would have said that the speaker was damaged, but the fact that you can record a voice memo and hear it back would indicate otherwise (unless you're listening through the phone's earpiece, which is a separate speaker). But since that works, it sounds like a corruption in the data lines controlling the MP3 decoder.
Have you tried a full factory reset on the phone? Keep in mind if you do this you wipe out everything stored on the phone (contacts, music, apps, photos). If you're sync'd through iTunes, you should be able to restore everything afterwards.
If a reset doesn't fix it, you've taken some hardware damage somewhere in the phone. And that's not a do-it-yourself repair.

- Iphone 4s speakers don't work? Ok so I dropped my iphone in a little bit of water and i quickly dried it off. Everything was working fine but then a sizzling noice started to happen out of the part where it charges and i cheacked to see if the music still played and it did. Well then after that the sizzling noise stopped but now my music won't play. Help? PS: I can plug in earphones and it will work just won't work out of the iphone speakers.

The phone is NOT in silent mode, I've tried blowing in the speaker and headphone jack. The sound works fine when I'm calling someone. It doesn't think it's in headphone mode. I'm so confused.
