Somebody got my IP address and she is threatening me?
I have iPhone 6 and on "Kik" messaging app, she sent me a link and I accidently clicked it ( the website grabs IP address and ISP) and she is saying that she'll fry my router, ddos attack. What should I do? I'm so scared. If I contact ISP for a new IP address, will it cost me? If so, how much? And is there other ways to change my Wi-Fi IP address?
She can't fry your router. I highly doubt she can ddos either. Looks like her scheme worked, you're acting like a fool over it.
Send her a link and say it's your facebook profile and you want to contact her, but instead take her ip.
Who cares, I'll give her my IP also if she wants it. She is trying to talk big and scare you, and apparently you are falling for it. Just ignore her as she wants attention.
I could give you hers if you want.
She didn't get "your IP address."
She got the IP address of your ISP and if she tries to "fry your router" she'll have a bad day when your ISP calls up her ISP and asks them to kick her off.
She can't do anything to you, your phone, or your router. Report the link to KIK if you want. Otherwise just ignore her.
You can request a change to your IP from your provider. They shouldn't charge you. I doubt she can do much to you, no need to worry.
1. Your IP Address is only registered to your ISP, your information is NOT searchable by your IP
2. You can't "fry your router", your router simply takes packets as they come in and direct them to the target machine
3. DDOS does not work that way. A DDOS will prevent your from opening websites and surfing the web, but could never fry a router. It also takes hundreds to thousands of computers working in unison in order to properly execute a thorough DDOS on a typical website, even for a smaller system such as a home network you would need multiple computers executing the attack simultaneously.
4. Your ISP will listen to this story, tell you they'll fix it and nothing will change because there's no real threat here.
5. IF you want, report it to KIK!
- Why did she give me her number if she won't respond back to me? I met a really cute girl last night and started talking and she was like I'm about to leave take my number so we swapped number hugged and she left and was like text me. So today I text her and saw that the text I sent was read (we both have an iPhone) and she never responded. She seemed interested in me. So i don't know why she just read my text and didn't text me. Why did she give me her number if she didn't reply to my text?
- Somebody I know just lost her iPhone 4s - what should she do? She called me on her friends phone obviously. i tried to call her back but obviously she's using that phone of her friends so its engaged. i simply wanted to tell her to call her wireless carrier and tell them to cut the service off that phone cos if its stolen and in the wrong hands - that individual could rack up insane charges etc what's the FIRST thing she should do? Report it stolen to the police?
- My teacher stole my phone! And my friend's She said she wanted an iPhone 11 and a Huawai Mate so she just took them? She collected them before we watched the movie saying she wanted no interruptions but she just stole them.
