Someone stole my iphone? What message should I leave them once they turn it back on?
I'm erasing my iphone because I know for a fact I can't get it back because someone in Mexico stole it from me. What message should pop up on the phone once they turn it on? I'm shook they had the nerve to steal it. It had a cracked screen lol. And it's pretty much old. Anyways, best response gets best answer. Thanks

Forget leaving them a message, report it stolen to your carrier, get it blacklisted, that way they can't use the phone or sell it. Change any automatic log in type passwords you have on any apps, just in case you don't lock your phone, and it's been more than 60 mins since you first noticed the phone missing.
ICloud Lock it with a message saying "enjoy your fancy new doorstop"
- Will a person receive text messages on iPhone once they power phone back on? When I text a friend of mine, sometimes their texts show up green when I text him (we both have iPhones and messages are normally blue)… Once their phone gets powered back on will the text messages I send when the phone is off b received once the phone is turned back on?
- Someone stole my iphone and turned it off. Can they do anything with it? I was at a festival and someone swiped my phone and immediately turned it off so I can't locate it with find my phone. I switched it to lost mode and it hasn't been turned on in 2 days… Is there anything the thief can do with my phone or is there anything I need to worry about? And is their any way they can break into the phone or even use it? Just not sure why someone would go around stealing phones with zero benefit besides maybe selling it for parts.

I know it's an easy process to change them, and I already did. But the question is could they access my browsing history? Either they cut it off or it died either way I can't use the find my iphone app because its cut off. When I locate it, it says its offline but its still listed under devices. If they restored it won't it delete? But I don't know if they wiped it. It just says its offline
