Someone threw me in my pool and broke my iphone 4s what should i do?

OK so i was having a few friends over last night, and towards the end of the party i was standing about 2 feet from the edge of my pool, this guy who was just there and no one really likes, shoved me and i fell into my pool, ruining my phone id had for a year and a half and everything on it that wasn't backed up. He also ruined a pair of 150$ shoes by doing so and had earlier broken my hammock which a new one is about 80-120$. I'm 16 and he's 15, my question is what should i do. I'm leaving to go out of town in 2 days and considering ill be by my self a lot while on this trip, id need my phone, and i won't have it. I've also lost all means of communication for friends, some family, and coaches. I want to request financial compensation for it or maybe even small claims court, the shoes and hammock i can let go for now but i really need my phone considering i do a decent amount of driving and i'm leaving soon.

You can't take anyone to court as a minor, number one. Number two, it would take a few months to get thru court.

Lesson learned: don't stand so close to the pool when wearing expensive clothes and carrying an expensive phone.

You don't own the hammock your parents do.

You also don't own the phone. Your parents should have had insurance on it.

You can't sue for anything since you're a minor. Your parents can.

Gonna take longer than 2 days.

Go to your parents phone carrier and see if they can fix the phone. It'll cost you.

And yep, don't stand so close to the pool with expensive stuff.

I do think they should pay for it, even if they had to make payments to you until done. Your parents should handle this but this is a difficult situation.
