Someone who stole my iPhone was able to get my phone number and contact me?
My iPhone was stolen from me around two years ago and all of the sudden yesterday I get a notification on WhatsApp from a man saying that they have my phone and that they want me to delete my ICloud account or give them the information for it so they could use my phone.
They keep contacting me from different numbers and I keep blocking them but I'm getting concerned. I was wondering how they were able to get my phone number if my phone was locked and reported on Find my iPhone when it was stolen?
I don't know what I should do.
The number is on the SIM.
Tell them to f off or pay you for the phone.
Your SIM card has your information including your phone number programmed into it.
Call your carrier and make sure that phone is listed as stolen so they can blacklist it and then change your phone number.
Well if the phone is stolen you could contact the police, but realistically that could end up being a hassle so your other option is to call your carrier like "Memelord Prime" suggested and have the phone blacklisted, by blacklisting a device, it will permanently disable the device from being used and should render it completely useless. But if you're worried about being harassed the police isn't a bad option.
Contact law enforcement, report the phone stolen, tell them what you told us.
Don't even bother worrying about any of that, contact your carrier, if you are still using the same carrier, report the IMEI or ESN as stolen, so they can blacklist the phone, so that the person that has it can no longer actually use it as a phone. You can also recontact APPLE and they can lock the phone up as well.

So my dad left his phone in line at the grocery store and when he went back the cashier said a couple took it to bring it to costumer service but they never turned it in and turned off find my iPhone. He texted them off another phone to ask them to please bring it back to the costumer service desk and they responded that they were keeping it. Is there any way to track it without find my iPhone or anything legally we can do?
