Something stuck in my iPhone headphone jack?

I don't know what it is but it won't come out. I've tried using forks to maybe slide it up or break it and I've tried sucking it out but it's not working. Tapping the phone to knock it out won't work either. I can't stick my headphones in all the way and i don't want it to go down any further… And now the sound on my videos all humming from the object in the headphone jack. The nearest apple store is 45 minutes away and they'd probably just try and make me buy a new phone.

it's really annoying because i can see it under good lightning and i can't think of any way to get it out & i don't want to buy a whole new phone. If anyone has any ideas, thanks

Try a paper clip or a strong magnet

DO NOT USE A FORK THAT WILL RUIN IT MORE! Go to www.itunes.com and support to maybe find your answer.

  • Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.
  • Rice stuck in iPhone headphone jack? My phone got wet so i put it in rice, it works fine now but i can't use my headphones because there's rice stuck in the headphone jack! I tried getting it out with tweezers but only like half of it fell out. I tried again with a toothpick but it still won't come out?
  • Is my iPhone the cause of my headphone jack breaking? So I have an iPhone 4S and I was using these headphones for about a year and all the sudden the jack you plug in to the phone, bent. It wouldn't work anymore. I don't know how this happened, it may not have been my iPhone. However, now I have a new pair of headphones and I just want to make sure it isn't my phone doing this, could it be my phone or is that very unlikely?
