Spilled ice cream on my iPhone 5c?
I had a small container of ice cream, and the lid wasn't secured. It was in my lap, and just spilled all over the bottom of my phone. I think I got just about all of it out of the lightning jack, but the speakers are very muffled. It still plays, but not as loud and clear as it should. It sounds like the speaker is covered by my finger or something. Any home remedies? Or do I need to take it to the Apple Store?
Do you have your phone insured? If not, then just leave it alone, because it would be much too expensive to fix. It sounds like some ice cream got inside the speakers and clogged them up. I don't know of any home remedy, but I'm sure it will sound just fine if you use your headphones instead. The outward speakers aren't that great anyway!
This might seem a bit risque, but I have had the same problem. Just clean out the insides with a q-tip or if its really bad maybe tweezers or something like that. Or even hold it over a space heater so that the ice cream can melt and evaporate.

- Spilt ice cream in my iPhone? I was eating an ice cream cone and it dropped into the ear piece of my iPhone.
