Will Sprint happen to take less for my leased phone purchase?

So I have a 128gb iPhone 6 I leased from Sprint 2 years ago and its about time to pay it off or give it up and pay for another lease month to month. I have had friends say that through their carriers they were able to keep their leased phone after they pay off 70 percent of the phone. Does sprint work like that or will I have to pay $200 to keep my iphone after the contract ends as stated in the contract

The only people who can tell you that for sure are Sprint. It may help if you have a look around at other carriers so you can try to use that as a bargaining chip. But if they want to be awkward and have you pay off the remaining on your phone they are perfectly within their rights to. Once your current contract ends though the phone is yours, and once unlocked (you can probably get it unlocked by sprint already) you can take it to any compatible network!

What your contract says is what you pay, unless Sprint made changes to YOUR particular contract to say different. So if you want to find out, you need to contact Sprint customer service and ask that question.

Did your friends mention that they had to sign another 2 year contract. AT&T lets you keep the phone after 18 months but the catch is that you have to sign up again for another 2 years to get another phone.

The term lease is just another way of saying subsidized. The difference is that when it's subsidized you pay off the remaining balance at once while lease lets you spread it out over 2 years. Anyway you look at it you still end up paying the same amount.

Mobile companies are just trying to make the wording as complicated as possible so that you don't bother dissecting it while making it look like you're getting a great deal and also bind you to the carrier for 2 years.

  • Why do people who are selling iPhone 4s sell them less if they are Sprint or Verizon? I'm looking for a White iPhone 4 or 4s on AT&T. I was on Ebay.com and people that are selling the iPhone 4's for AT&T cost from $300-$500. But for Sprint and Verizon iPhone 4 they are in the range of $180-$250. Why is there a reason for this. And I also see the same thing on craigslist.org also.
  • When will sprint have the iphone 5s available for purchase? I know yesterday sept. 10 is when apple officially released the iphone 5s and 5c. I've been waiting forever. I was wondering when will sprint have the iphone 5s available. I know that they put something up about pre ordering the iphone 5c but honestly it looks ugly. WHEN WILL SPRINT HAVE IT I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE THEY SELL OUT. Also if there's any other ways to get it early can you tell me
  • What will happen if I take my sim out of my iPhone 5 Hey so I want to change my number and just get a new sim over all… If I take my sim out of my phone will I lose anything? Because my iPhone icloud storage has been full for a whole so some of the stuff isn't backed up so I was wondering if I change sim will I lose pictures etc?
  • What is the best Android phone for $400 or less? Need a good phone, but do not need a $1000 Galaxy 10 or Iphone. Currently looking at the Moto G7 ($300) and the Google 3A XL ($450). Wound up going for the Pixel 3A XL… My carrier had a deal-$244.
