Strange iphone 5 screen break?

So I dropped my phone yesterday and as soon as i picked it up I could see that the screen was kinda blurry/white and after few seconds all I could see where some lines and black screen(just like when the screen cracks) but I could still type on it. Then I locked it, unlocked it and it was normal but after a few seconds, same thing happened, my screen started going black all i could see where 4 thick lines(each line going vertically and its colour was based on the app I had in my bottom row) and when press something I can see the screen changing its colour and lines and still can type. The craziest thing is, whenever i lock it, the screen becomes normal for couple of seconds but then the same thing happens. I tried restarting it but it didn't work. I guess its broken, and I'm taking it to Apple for exchange but I was wondering if everyone else experienced the same thing?

Added (1). I have the warranty, and my friends told me its free if I have it. I had 3GS before and dropped it hundreds of times, even managed to pop the top of it out but this never happened.

I have never heard of that happening… I've had the 3gs, 4 and now the 5… The apple store may just tell you to buy another one unless you have insurance on your phone, you may just need to take it into an iphone repair shop, it is usually like a hundred bucks to fix the screen, but its still cheaper than getting a new 5… Hope this helps
