If i switch carriers will I have to restart my phone?
I want to switch carriers. Right now I have metro pcs but I'm planning to switch to T-Mobile. I got a new iPhone about 2 months ago so if I switch carriers I'm not looking on buying a new phone. So will I have to restart my phone to switch? Will I loose anything like pictures, apps, or stuff like that?
To use the old phone on a new carrier, you need to get the phone unlocked from the carrier. Normally they do this for free while you are still a customer, and your account is paid up and the phone is paid for. Otherwise you will have to pay to unlock the phone, to use it on another carrier.
You should just be able to swap the SIM cards. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to get your phone unlocked - look up "phone carrier unlock" for that.
- Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?
- Should I switch carriers for the iPhone 5S? I want to buy the 5S, but right now I here that you can only buy the unlocked version for T mobile. Sprint, At&t, and Verizon all have it for a two year, $200 dollar contract. Should I switch carriers?
- My iphone 5s won't restart since I tried to update my phone with ios11 last night & I guess my phone ran out of battery in the middle When I try to turn my phone on its shows the apple logo & then a logo showing itunes with charging option comes up. I tried looking over solutions over the interent but can't find any. Is there any way I can reset my phone or sth else that can be helpful?
- Is it possible to switch straight talk carriers? I have an AT&T iPhone on straight talk. It was ok where I used to lie, but where I'm now I have absolutely no service. Is there a way I can switch it to Verizon and get on Verizon towers, while staying on straight talk plan?
